24 Mar 09 iriver releases yet another DAP - E150
I just got information that iriver has released a successor of the E100 - the E150 in Korea. The E100 and E100S2 were both unbelievably popular in Korea. The key reasons are the low price tag and attractive design. The E150 follows this trend with a $78USD price for the 4GB and $100USD for 8GB. The design is very “iriver” in language with soft lines and a “dish” like curved edge to the front surface. The buttons are now integrated into the body and the speaker grills have been made more attractive too.
iriver has also upgraded the UI with a more playful and colorful design. Other than these cosmetic changes, the iriver E150 is nearly identical to the E100. I feel that the E150 is the prefect upgrade for the recession though. It doesn’t cost a lot to make small upgrades like this and I’m guessing that it’s what the consumers want at a times like these. I’m guessing that the iriver will have no problem selling over a million units like they did with the E100.
